UNICEF backed up Train the Trainer-Event in Sofia, Bulgaria, 7-18.1.2019
The Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science is preparing the implementation of ICF as a tool to assess additional educational support needs for pupils with developmental difficulties, as foreseen in the LAW.
Between 7.1.2019 and 18.1.2019 Train-the-Trainer seminars took place in Sofia. Prof. Dr. Manfred Pretis and Dr. Aleksandra Dimova MD, PhD provided practice-oriented training to school psychologists, resource-teachers and speech therapists.
The seminar focused on participation, ability based perspectives and assessment of additional educational needs. The participants reported high satisfaction. Follow up workshops are planned for fall 2019.
